DayReckon is a calendar and counting tool. It tells you what date a number of days lands on and how many days remain until a date. It does not tell you what you are obliged or entitled to do.

Rules we mention

Some pages summarize rules that run on day counts: rental notice periods in California, New York and Texas, the IRS 60-day IRA rollover, the IRS substantial presence test, the Schengen 90/180 rule and a federal mortgage-servicing rule. Each summary is there to help you count. Each rule has conditions and exceptions we do not cover, and laws change. Nothing on this site is legal, tax, immigration or financial advice, and using it does not create any professional relationship. For a decision with consequences, read the source we link and ask the agency or a qualified professional.

Holiday, school and event dates

Federal holiday dates come from OPM, and the observed date applies to federal employees. Your employer, bank, court or school may follow a different schedule. School dates come from each district's published calendar and can change after board votes. Event dates come from organizers and can move. Religious dates marked expected may shift by a day.

Times and time zones

Page text uses Eastern time; live counters use your device's clock. If your device clock or time zone is set incorrectly, the live count will be off.

Food safety numbers

The Thanksgiving page shows USDA thawing times. They are reproduced for planning. Follow the full USDA guidance for handling and cooking.
